Rotary Club of Kasr El-Nile Fund Raising Sohour event

Thousands of infants are born in Egypt with the risk of losing sight before the end of their teens, loss of vision at an early age has a devastating impact on children’s quality of life and ability to function 'normally' in society. The technological tools and professional doctors exist to cure the environmental causes of the diseases behind these sad cases, yet they are too expensive to apply commercially to the all the children in need.

With this need in mind, the Rotary Club of Kasr El-Nile organized a Sohour event on Friday 21st of September, at the Moon Deck restaurant, Blue Nile boat. The event was attended by an average of 250 invitees, the objective of the event was to raise funds for supporting children and infants requiring immediate eye surgery and medical equipment but can not afford the operation cost or the waiting time associated with public hospitals.

The Rotary Kasr El-Nile CRTS Sohour event was supported by "VODAFONE" as our MAIN SPONSOR, the event was also supported by several associate sponsors and many charitable donations made by private donors, all funds raised will be used by the Rotary Club of Kasr El Nile to execute on our CRTS program for avoiding blindness for infants and children in need but can not afford. The Sohour event was also supported by Rotaract club of Kasr El Nile as co-organizer, and in-corporation with the Egyptian NGO for medical services development.

The work, cost and effort associated with the event’s success was donated for our cause by the organizers Sally Torgoman and Amr yehia, printing house MO advertising, and Art Work donated by Yasser El Kaissarly, and also the beautiful picture of the child Hashem Mohanad printed on the invitation was offered by the photographer Omar Niaz and the boy’s mother as a contribution to our program. The contributions made by our sponsors, supporters and donors helped turn this event into a practical success that can be showcased for our Egyptian Community Service projects by private, public & NGO partnerships.

Once again, A Big Thank you from the Rotary Club of Kasr El Nile to every one who attended, contributed, sponsored and supported our Sohour event, and we look forward to your participation in our upcoming events for the Children’s Right To Sight Program adopted by Rotary Club of Kasr El Nile.

This was an awesome effort exerted for a very worthy cause. I believe that this fund raiser Sohour achieved much more than the donations so generously bequeathed by our benefactors. I believe the awareness raised for all those present about the plight of these helpless children, and that they could and (God willing) will be saved is a priceless achievement...
I personally pledge to spare no effort in the Rotary KEN community services committee to the maximum utilization of the resources you all have entrusted us.
Thank you
