Crucial Conversations
The KEN club administration committee organized a leadership development training for KEN members & guests on "Crucial conversations". The training is a 10 session program conducted by Rotarian Hesham El Bakry.
Crucial conversations is about learning new skills and techniques for mastering emotions, creating mutual purpose, staying in dialogue when angry, speaking persuasively and turning any conversation into action and results.
There are 3 ways of handling crucial conversations:
You can avoid them
You can face them and handle them poorly
You can face them and handle them well
Given the 3 choices I will go with handling them well and that is what the training is all about, I thank Hesham El Bakry for an outstanding service above self.
Crucial conversations turned out to be the kind of interaction we have every day at work, with our colleagues, at home, with our families and in our Rotary Club amongst members. We have learned new ways to enhance the quality of our dialogue and consequently the quality of our life
